Every sweet we craft carries the stories of ancient Tamil Nadu — from the legendary Iruttu Kadai (Dark Shop) of Thirunelveli that serves halwa only by lamplight, to the GI-tagged Palkova of Srivilliputtur made in centuries-old brass vessels. We bring these heirlooms to your home.
Stories Behind
Every Sweet
Each of our sweets carries centuries of tradition, culture and the warmth of Tamil Nadu's culinary heritage.

Thoothukudi Macaroon
The legendary Thoothukudi Macaroon — crispy-outside, airy-inside cashew meringue cookies that have been delighting sweet lovers for generations. Made with roasted cashew nuts, egg whites, and sugar; these cloud-like bites simply melt in your mouth.
Born in the port city of Thoothukudi, these macaroons were introduced by Portuguese traders centuries ago and have since become an iconic identity of the city. Each piece is hand-crafted using a secret technique passed down through generations.

Srivilliputtur Palkova
Srivilliputtur Palkova — a rich, creamy milk-based sweet made by slow-cooking full-fat milk with sugar until it thickens into a heavenly, grainy fudge. Topped with pistachios and crafted with pure love.
Srivilliputtur holds a GI (Geographical Indication) tag for its famous Palkova. The secret lies in locally sourced full-fat cow milk and the centuries-old tradition of slow cooking in brass vessels, giving it a unique caramel-like texture.

Thirunelveli Ghee Halwa
The world-famous Thirunelveli Ghee Halwa (Iruttu Kadai Halwa) — a translucent, melt-in-your-mouth confection made from wheat, pure ghee, sugar, and cashews. Its deep amber colour and rich aroma are simply irresistible.
Thirunelveli Halwa traces its roots to over 200 years ago. The iconic Iruttu Kadai (Dark Shop) serves this delicacy only in the evenings by lamplight, creating a mystical experience. Made with wheat starch and generous amounts of pure ghee.

Tirunelveli Alwa
A classic version of the authentic Tirunelveli Alwa served on a fresh banana leaf. This rich, glossy sweet is made from wheat starch, jaggery, and pure ghee, garnished with plump cashews.
Served traditionally on a banana leaf, this Alwa is the soul of Tirunelveli cuisine. The use of jaggery instead of sugar gives it a distinctive deep colour and earthy sweetness unlike any other halwa in the world.
